Chaps Filipino Style
Peanut Butters
A Family Recipe passed from generation to generation
Made in Manitoba, Canada
Welcome to Chaps Handcrafted Peanut Butters

A lot of people ask us, What make it Filipino?

Well it is about the roasted flavor..

We don't put any spices or any other flavor.
What we do is we roast the peanuts long enough to get a rich roasted nutty flavor before grinding as what our Family do in the Philippines.

Our Peanut Butters are preservative/additive free. 100% All Peanuts.

We do it by small batches from roasting, grinding to jarring truly making it handmade

OUR ORIGINS
"Tyaps" (pronounced as Chaps) is short term for the nickname "Tiya Pining" in Filipino or "Auntie Pining".

In the Philippines its common that family owned bakeries makes or sells their own version of peanut butters, each bakeries has their own blend and style.

Auntie Pining "Chaps" makes it best.

She roasts the peanuts, grind it and mix it with right sweetness, No preservatives or any additives.
Perfect spread on breads and pastries they sell on the bakery they have.

To keep the Family Peanut Butter making tradition alive. She passed the recipe/blend to her daughter and then to her grand daughter Sarah (pictured).

Sarah moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Canada in 2012 from the Philippines and after a few years after she met her husband Roy (pictured).

June 2020 is when they started to make and sell Auntie Pining "Chaps" version of peanut butters thru the different Farmer's Markets and specialty stores in Winnipeg.
